We offer a variety of 'voluntourism" opportunities. Because our voluntourism opportunities, like all of our programs are not centered around making a profit but rather at spreading awareness we can offer them at a discount when compared with conventional tourism activities. All tours are conducted by licensed partners. For those persons interested in lodging and meals at the Center, or at renting the Sea Oaks cabin on the Placencia peninsula with no responsibilities as a volunteer (but being able to participate in the various activities going on if they like) you may opt to choose one of our lodging packages. Also be sure to check out the list of available eco-courses and our schedule of workshops.

Mountain Pine Ridge Package #1 -
Experience a beautiful scenic drive that takes you from the fertile farming
communities of the Belize River Valley up through beautiful jungle, into the
unique ecology of the Pine Ridge, and then back into a different kind of
rainforest. Stop at the breath-taking 1000 foot falls which drops 1600 feet
from the granite ledge of the Pine Ridge into the same rain forest valley
that the STAND Center is in. After you catch your breath and as many pictures as
you like, we will move on to Caracol. Once one of the largest Maya city states of it's kind this gorgeous
city of stone will inspire you. After we eat a picnic lunch and take a leisurely walk around the various
complexes we will return to San Ignacio where we can eat at your choice of restaurant. This is a full day
trip.
Many tourists come to Belize and go back home having only skimmed the surface of the true depth
of its fascinating cultures and humbling natural beauty. Our goal in offering voluntours is to expose
you to the natural beauty of Belize in a way that allows you to truly immerse yourself into Belize's
true essence at an affordable price. All of our tours are guided by licensed guides or partners. If
you are more interested in the educational component, be sure to check out our eco-courses!
Mountain Pine Ridge Package #2-
Perhaps you prefer the same scenic drive that the Pine Ridge #1 Package offers to Caracol but coupled with
a waterfall that you can swim underneath. If so we can take you to beautiful Big Rock Falls before we get to
Caracol and you can swim in the cool refreshing Rio On and enjoy a picnic there or when we reach
Caracol, your choice. After Caracol we will drive to San Ignacio where you can buy a quick dinner, or we can
head back to the farm if you prefer to cook your own. This is a full day trip.
Davis Falls- Hike through some incredible mature rain forest and arrive at the spectacular Davis Falls where a cool tropical creek
tumbles over granite into bubbling swimming pools you can relax in. We will eat a picnic lunch and spend a leisure
afternoon in this idyllic spot tucked far away from roads, villages, or other habitation. Davis falls is a name that hardly
does this beautiful waterfall justice. The road to get there is very rough, but the paradise at the end is worth it all!!! Fern
trees and vines finger their way toward the canopy. Creeks burble over various sandstones, finally a spectacular view
that you can photograph or jump right into! You can stand in the warm tropical sun while a cool mist gently bathes you
or dive into one of the deeper
pools for a more refreshing bath!Truly a special spot!
Caves Branch Tubing-
Tube the idyllic Caves Branch River and drift through stunning white limestone caverns on this pristine turquoise blue
river shrouded by luxuriant Rain forest. See the incredible underground world the Mayan reverently called Xibalba. We
will bring a picnic lunch as this will be a half day trip. This trip is relaxing and breathtaking and certainly a one of a kind
experience.
Actun Tunichil Muknal-
Venture into a river that flows from the depths of one of the most awe-inspiring
Mayan ceremonial sites in Belize. This extensive cavern is the tomb of the
Crystal Maiden and her skeleton which has been completely covered in
crystalline travertine formations is only one of many inside this cavern. Huge
ceremonial pots, blades, and other ceremonial objects are found throughout this
spectacular cave. There are also shimmering stalactites and stalagmites. This is
definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity that should not be missed.
